Following their success in winning the Herts Advertiser Intermediate Cup in December Harpenden Colts Old Boys Reserves made it a cup double in the Junior Cup Final, with a 2-0 win against Welwyn Warriors Reserves. A fine passing move lead to a first half headed goal from Sam Spranger, and nerves were settled with 15 minutes to go when Ollie Lacey followed up after his header hit the crossbar to slam home the rebound. Near misses came and went at both ends, but Harpenden Colts Old Boys Reserves deservedly held on to take their second silverware of the season. Played in warm sunshine at Toulmin Drive in St Albans, the game was a credit to both sides and thoroughly entertained the watching family and friends. After such a successful season the Harpenden Colts Old Boys Reserves team will do well to repeat the high points of 2020/21 next season, but Bretherton Law wish them every success in their efforts.
