ANOTHER CUP WIN FOR HARPENDEN COLTS OLD BOYS, SPONSORED BY BRETHERTON LAW

After two successful Cup runs in the last 18 months Harpenden Colts Old Boys made it a hat-trick of wins by lifting the inaugural Brian Hubball Cup against St George’s FC.

Although competing a couple of divisions below Harpenden Colts in the Herts Advertiser Sunday League, the Welwyn Garden City side put up a tough fight, with their goalkeeper making several outstanding saves to keep them in the game.

The breakthrough for Harpenden Colts finally came in the 85^th minute when Jamie Jones scored the only goal of the game from close range.

The Brian Hubball Cup, a new competition for this season, aims to raise money for the mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), at the same time highlighting the issues surrounding male suicide.
