On 08.12.15 we hosted our annual Christmas quiz – this year dedicated to raising funds for Home-Start, a local charity. Home-Start provides a unique service for families – recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with young children at home in St Albans and surrounding areas. At a time when local authorities are cutting back spending this is a lifeline for many families who may be struggling due to illness or other difficulties.
Hosted at the Slug and Lettuce in St Albans, the event was a sellout as usual with a number of local family law solicitors, barristers, and other teams of local professionals, including BNI Unity Chapter and staff from Home-start vying for the prestigious prize. But it wasn’t the winning that mattered – it was the taking part!
We raised over £1200 for this really good cause. Thanks to all who came and to all the local companies who generously donated fantastic raffle prizes.
